Refund policy

MADE TO MEASURE & CUSTOM COMMISSION POLICY:

1. No Returns for "Change of Mind" As every Stars and Steps commission is cut and sewn specifically to your unique design specifications and measurements, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind, incorrect fabric choice, or design preference once production has commenced. 

2. The Fit Guarantee (Remote Commissions) Our garments are cut strictly based on the Technical Measurement Profile provided by the client.

  • Accuracy: Stars and Steps is not liable for fit issues resulting from inaccurate measurements taken by the client or their chosen third-party tailor.

  • Variances: If the finished garment matches the provided measurements (within standard industry tolerances of +/- 1cm) but does not fit due to the client's physique or personal comfort preference, alterations are the sole responsibility of the client.

  • Our Error: If the finished garment significantly deviates from the measurements you provided, we will cover the cost of local alterations to rectify the error.

  • Measurement Grace Period & Cancellations Customers have 14 days from the date of purchase to cancel their order for a full refund if measurements have not yet been submitted.

    After this 14-day grace period, the sale is considered final and non-refundable. The order will remain on "Production Hold" indefinitely until the measurement profile is received, at which point fabrication will commence immediately.

3. Manufacturing Defects (Australian Consumer Law) Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure (e.g., severe damage to fabric, incorrect construction, or significant manufacturing defects).
